Long Time No See!

Hello! I disappeared for a little while, got lost in a pile of yarn. Boy have I been busy crocheting! I am absolutely in love with crochet and so glad that I started it up again, on a grander scale! A coworker of mine (actually his last day is today) even offered to make me a website to sell my stuff. So crazy cool. You can check it out at www.forloveofyarn.com (My name is an acronym). He did a great job.

I have been making lots of different and new stuff, thanks to all the orders that I've been getting. My boss ordered a beautiful pair of victorian gloves....

But my favorite thing that I've made this month has been this easter set. The beanie is adorable and then you add the matching diaper cover and it's just darling! 

This has just been the most fun. I am working on a couple of secret things that I can't wait to be able to share but they're for a coworkers baby shower and I'd hate for her to find out ahead of time what I have in store for her and her little! 

Besides the 6 scarves that my boss ordered I'm also getting to make a table worker for my bff Joe. So very lucky to have so many random WIPs (work in progress). But......my homework has been slipping a little. :( I promise I'll do better! On homework and posting.

Check back soon and hopefully I'll have some pictures of the table runner I'm working on (started it today in the office...shhhhhh).

And it's getting warmer outside! It actually feels like spring today. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

So this is NOT crafting related but it is my birthday. :) And for the first time ever I received flowers at my office today. This post is just to brag on my wonderful and amazing fiance. I'm loved!!

BRRRRRRRRRRRR It's Cold Outside!!

For being in "the south" it sure is cold outside! Reminds me of growing up in Missouri. 

But while the weather outside is frosty, I've been warm inside making hats. Still practicing my crochet but also selling beanies! I sold 4 just this weekend! It's great. So, I even opened up my own etsy shop and put a couple of items on ebay. Hey, WHY NOT?

Every time I make a hat it's my new favorite, but this one really is! It's so adorable and was a breeze to make. I sure hope I get a lot of orders for this one.

Ho Hum

Sitting at work today wishing I was home crocheting, lol!! I'm working on the CUTEST new beanie, I can't wait until it's done! I'm keeping all these firsts for myself, YAY ME! But I did get my first order. A distance cousin on facebook said if I made her one, SHE'D PAY! AMAZING! 

Marlon has been on me about selling my work and I'm like SLOW DOWN I just made my first potholder! But now I'm wondering....it might be a good way to make a few extra bucks. I do love doing it. But in between full time job, college, kids and Marlon I don't know how much time I'd have for it.

Friday night I'm going to a sit n stitch with the women that taught me how to do the granny square, that will be fun and hopefully I'll learn a lot.

Saturday I am going to a "Crop" with some ladies that I've never met (I'm being very outgoing this new year). I plan on doing something different with my scrapbooking from now on, I'll share more when I have something started.

Annnyyywaaaay, guess I'll get back to work now. TTYL!!

My first member!

Good evening everyone!! I received the coolest email today, my "Crafty Nashville" group got it's first member! I'm so excited!!! Her name is Heather and I can tell that we're going to be best friends, LOL! She does seem sweet and we have the same crafty interests. I'm trying to decide what we should do first. I'm thinking either a stitch 'n bitch or some scrapping.

Oh! One of my wonderful co-workers brought me some of her scraps today. I haven't gotten through the bag yet but it looked like at least a couple of jars, a two-liter bottle and a t-shirt. Those along with my own bag, I'm off to a great start. I told Marlon today no more buying 1 liter bottles, 2 liters only! I want to remake my living room lamp using those bottles. Can't wait to post pics!

I did a little crafting tonight, I worked on a new granny square, this one is called the "squiggly flower". It's really neat and I hope that I haven't butchered it too much, I'm still not so great at reading patterns. I ran out of yarn though so I have to wait to finish it until I buy more pink. I'll post a pic as soon as I'm done.

Just wanted to pop in for a minute and say hi, I'm off to bed.

Annnnnnnnd a beanie

I followed another pattern and made this beanie! :))))))) I will be making a ton of these before Christmas so im happy that this first one wasn't that difficult.

In other news im still working on gathering trash, I mean supplies for the home decor projects I have in store.........

Finished my pot holders

I think I've gotten my refresher course and learned a whole lot more than before! Went to Big Stitch University this morning and learned how to finish make my edges look better and the granny square. Excited! 

Ive been practicing on pot holders and im really pleased with the two I did tonight READING PATTERNS! :)))))

Picked up a pattern for a bag that im going to work on next. Fingers crossed!
